CHALLENGE
Hallandale Beach, a quiet coastal community in the heart of South Florida's boom, needed economic development assistance to attract quality developers, lenders and businesses to their city. In spite of the City lying in the path of development, it had been passed over in favor of other more aggressive neighboring cities.
SOLUTION
Ambit created a campaign using regional and national advertising, printed collateral, direct mail, and public relations to highlight the numerous development opportunities within the city, including a new pro-growth attitude on the part of the City Commission. The campaign was directed toward commercial brokers, major developers, property owners and investors urging those who thought they knew Hallandale Beach to take another look. The marketing promoted the fact that the population was getting younger, and that development opportunities were among the best in Florida.
RESULTS
Hallandale Beach enjoyed first year results that included requests for real estate and development information and tours of the City by national real estate developers. The city was featured in newspapers and national magazines such as Urban Land and Area Development. By the end of the two-year campaign, fourteen major projects had received City approvals or begun construction.
